About Me – The Story Behind Tha Game Project 🎮🕹️

Hi, I’m Miguel Lopardo, the face behind Tha Game Project! If there’s one thing that has shaped my life, it’s my passion for technology, gaming, and fixing things. From dismantling my first PC as a child to repairing consoles and diving into cybersecurity, my journey has been anything but ordinary.

🎮 A Love for Gaming That Started with Windows 3.1

My earliest gaming memory takes me back to my childhood, sitting with my cousin, glued to an old Windows 3.1 PC, playing Rodent’s Revenge. That was just the beginning. My first console love was the Nintendo 64, where I spent endless hours playing Pokémon Stadium so much that I literally burned out the console! 🔥

Over the years, I built a huge collection of retro gaming consoles, including GameBoys, GameCube, Wii, PSP, Xbox you name it! But I didn’t just collect; I loved repairing, restoring, and bringing these classics back to life. That passion would later turn into my business.

🛠️ The Birth of Tha Game Project

Back in 2020, when the world was on lockdown, I was searching for a way to work from home. I’ve always loved fixing things, selling, and giving tech a second life, so I started flipping consoles on eBay. What began as a side hustle quickly grew into something bigger Tha Game Project, a place where gamers and collectors can find vintage consoles, accessories, and more, with a personal touch.

💻 A Life-Long Fascination with PCs & Cybersecurity

I’ve always been a curious tech geek 🤓, dismantling computers just to see how they worked. My first PC repair? A Pentium 4 with Windows 2000, featuring a legendary GeForce 64MB GPU. What excites me most about computers is how everything works together in endless configurations—there’s always a new way to optimise, build, and improve.

I still love building custom PCs, but in recent years, my curiosity has led me to a new challenge: cybersecurity 🔐. A few years ago, I was hacked and lost a lot of money. That moment changed everything. I wanted to understand how systems work, how attackers think, and most importantly, how to protect people like me from cyber threats. That’s why I’m now studying Cybersecurity at Edge Hill University, working towards a future where I can freelance as a cybersecurity analyst while running my shop.

🇻🇪 From Venezuela to the UK – A Journey of Change 🇬🇧

I was born in Barquisimeto and raised in Acarigua, Venezuela, a small town full of memories. In 2017, I made a huge life change and moved to the UK, facing everything from cultural shifts to language barriers. It wasn’t easy, but I adapted, built a life here, and found new opportunities to grow.

👨‍👦 Fatherhood & My Ultimate Motivation

Of all the roles I’ve taken on, the most important is being a father. My 4-year-old son keeps me on my toes 🏃‍♂️, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no two days are ever the same when you’re raising a little one! Everything I do Tha Game Project, my degree, my career plans is all for him ❤️. I want the flexibility of working for myself so I can be there for him whenever he needs me.

🚀 Future Plans – Growing Tha Game Project

Tha Game Project isn’t just an online store to me it’s my passion, my craft, and my way of sharing gaming nostalgia with others. My goal is to open a physical shop 🏪, where gamers can come, chat about retro consoles, and find the best gear with a personalised experience.

What sets me apart? I care. I’m not a faceless seller I personally test, repair, and ensure every item is in top condition before it reaches your hands. I provide fast, friendly service with real solutions because I know how much these consoles mean to fellow gamers.

So, whether you’re looking for a GameBoy from your childhood, a rare console, or just want to chat about gaming and tech, Tha Game Project is here for you.

🎮 Thanks for being part of this journey! 🕹️
